About Me

I’m drawn to all things creative and pursued a career in marketing to expose me to creativity in many forms: design, writing, brand identity, and more. I also have a few passions in life that will help you get to know me:

My animals (Golie & Eva, two feisty felines and a derpy doggo named Jovie)
Animal rescue + advocacy
Environmentalism + sustainability
Social justice, human rights + equity

I believe in inspiring action to work towards the reality of a better world – one that includes a more just and equitable society, a healthier planet and thriving communities, and protection of basic human rights and dignity for all. I’ve developed a professional skillset in service of these personal passions. I welcome any opportunity to disrupt the status quo and contribute to critical social-issue campaigns with impact.

One application of my creative skills is in the world of animal advocacy. What started as an obsession with taking my own dog’s photo quickly turned into a means to help animals in need find loving adoptive homes. For the past decade, I’ve photographed rescue dogs to showcase their individuality in photos and attract more interest from adopters. I also wrote my thesis on the topic! I’m a proud member of HeARTs Speak, a global network of artists who donate their time and professional services to animal welfare organizations. Our goal is to create a united voice for animals through art.

In short, I care a whole lot about a whole lot. My goal is to combine my professional skillset with my personal motivations to help make the world a better place. I find that creative ventures have a way of bringing people together and open up dialogue about important issues now more than ever. Those are conversations I want to not only be a part of, but be a driving voice behind.

One way I’ve been able to be part of at least one of those conversations is by volunteering with animal rescues. For the past 5 years, I’ve been photographing rescue dogs with the hope that showcasing their individuality in photos would attract more interest from adopters. I even wrote my thesis on the topic!
